We had so much fun! We visited Monterey, ate yummy food, and celebrated Easter. This time it was just Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Beth. It was a lot more quiet than last time. The kids enjoyed coloring easter eggs with Grandma and then searching for them in the backyard on Easter afternoon. As many of you know, we did not know if we were having a boy or a girl. I knew all along that it was a boy, but Bryant went back and forth between boy and girl. I was right. It must be mother's intuition. I was induced on the evening of the 26th and delivered about 3 hours later. Two pushes later and we had a beautiful baby boy.
The only issue we had was what to name him. We had ideas, but we didn't decide until the nursery called and said they were making out his birth certificate. Bryant decided he liked the name Tyler and I agreed. So it is official, his name is Tyler John Weber. He has long fingers and toes and is a very good baby! People even say he looks like me, I guess the third time is a charm. The first two were clearly after the Weber brand.
Becca thinks she is his second mother. She is always willing to help in any way she can. She even asks me if she can change his diapers. I think that is pretty good for a 4 year old. Bryant loves the baby as well. He proudly proclaims, "That's my baby brother." He also tells people that his name is Tyler John Weber.
Life is good here and the blessings keep on coming.

Christmas is in the air

I seem to be falling a little behind in my blogging. That invitation turned into 13 people loading into a 15 passenger van and traveling 640 miles to arrive at our home on Thanksgiving morning. What a crowd! Bryant is the oldest of nine children, so when you take 6 brothers and 2 sisters with 3 sister-in-laws and one mom and one dad you get 13 people. They left on Wednesday night at 11 PM and arrived at our home at 8 AM Thursday morning. Needless to say they were exhausted. I had a few people passed out on my couches:

Bryant was in charge of the Turkey and stuffing....

We had 19 people (including 2 missionaries). We had blow up beds, cots, and lots of blankets strategically placed around our house to fit everybody. We even put a couple of people in the garage. It was a memorable experience. Everyone had a great time.
On Friday we visited San Francisco and stayed at a cheap hotel. All I can say is that the location was the best thing about this hotel. My sister-in-law found a couple of cockroaches in her room. Yuck! It was an adventure. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures from our trip. We vistited Ghiradelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square. My favorite part was riding on the Trolley and seeing the Macy's Christmas Tree in Union Square. The kids played and played and played some more. They went from uncle to uncle being chased and tickled and tossed around. We were sad to see them go home, but all good times must come to an end.
That was definately the most memorable Thanksgiving we have ever had.

The beginning

Yes, I finally sat down to set up a blog. I should have done this long ago: but I, of course, thought it was harder than it is and thought it would take longer than 2 minutes. So here I am with my first posting on my new blog.

I thought I would start with a little background. Bryant and I moved to California in May 2007. We live in Northern California in a quaint city called Roseville. Roseville has been a nice place to live. We have a great ward and are building lasting friendships. So far we have enjoyed the weather and we can still go to the park during the day with a light sweater. We miss our friends and family in Utah, but the knowledge and experience we are gaining here has made us stronger.

Rebecca is 4 and Bryant is 2 and they are ruling the house. New baby Weber is due in the beginning of March. I am hoping for a February 29 arrival as I always wanted to have a baby on a leap day. We are waiting to see whether the baby is a boy or girl until delivery day. I am betting on a boy, but Bryant and the kids think it is a girl. We will see in March.

I look forward to reading your comments and suggestions. I think this will be a great way to keep in touch.
